Tess Parks has made up her mind: love isn’t for her.
When it comes to dating she has one rule: after six weeks with a guy, she ends it. So when her heartbroken best friend invites her for a girly getaway in Corfu, Tess is sure she can stick to their pact to stay single for the summer.
But then she meets the gorgeous restaurateur Andras...
To keep his overbearing mother off his back, Tess agrees to pretend to date him. But as the two spend time together, Tess begins to realise that this fake relationship is starting to feel like the best one she’s ever had…
Why this book should wriggle its way up your TBR?
Single for the Summer is not only heart-meltingly delicious but also heat-scorchingly exciting! I scoffed it up in one single dose while sitting on a balcony with a view of the sea and a few tiny ray of sunshine.
I loved following Tess and Sonya on their journey to the vibrant Greek island of Corfu. Tess is adamant that she doesn't need a serious love relationship ( jumping from man to man every 6 weeks), but that is until she clashes with her dishy restaurant owner Andras.
Andras and Tess have a connection that very quickly develops into a "fake" relationship that consequently develops into something more meaningful. And let me tell you Tess is a pretty strong, creative and very determined woman. Because she has to not only put on a 'loving' performance in front of a demanding Greek matriarch with a stick (aka Andras mother), but she also promised her best friend Sonia that she would spend some quality friends time with her while staying single for the whole of their holidays!
I loved reading Tess, and Andras' scenes involving the exploring of the beautiful Greek Island as well as the ones were the loving couple have to fight off Isadora ( the mother).
Aside the leading couple I really bonded with Sonya. She was a gorgeous lady with a penchant for Greek fauna, the scrumptious hospitality and culture.
Single for the Summer is utterly delicious read with hilarious moments as well as some serious ones that make you feel even more in love with this story.
I highly recommend Single for the Summer to brighten your day and keep you longing for the hot weather.
