This week my book pick is White Lies and Wishes by the lovable Cathy Bramley.
I've been Cathy's fan since I read Ivy Lane and her writing style is always warm, witty and makes me feel sparkly.
Hopefully, I will bring your my thoughts on this story by the end of the week.
Until then have a peek at the book blurb and see if this book also appeals to you.
My honest thoughts on this book...
I must admit that the opening chapter of White Lies and Wishes didn't exactly strike a cord with me in the usually Bramley writing style!
Nevertheless, I carried on reading, and I am so glad I did because the storyline of this book is truly very appealing and hopeful. It is also insightful and warm and made me take a look at my life and count my lucky ducks.
I adored Jo, Sarah and Carrie as the leading ladies of this story. And who wouldn't! They are all easily relatable, they have their flaws like the rest of us, and they strive for a better lifestyle. I wouldn't favour one of the other Jo, Sarah and Carrie are very different and come from a different background but they all have one thing in common; dreams!
The ladies have dreams, and as they meet under the most shocking of circumstance, they all decide to come together and make those dreams come true. But will they able to bare their soul and show all they have or are will they be holding back their real dreams and wishes? I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book to find out the outcome of their hard work!
All the characters in this book come together nicely. They are beautifully written and fully developed as the story progresses it is evident to see that Jo, Sarah and Carrie formed an everlasting friendship as they embarked on their adventure to make their dreams come true!
