Hello from my holidays! As of the beginning of this week, I am officially on a holiday or a big adventure as my kids call it. It took us a while, but my family has decided to move back to the UK this August. So now we have backed 30 large boxes and one huge container full of our precious possessions ( now on the way to our new home in Dorset) we are ready to leave the sunny coast of east Australia and head for the greenery of the English country. Although I will be very busy for the next month or two, I'll still be reading lots of books ( or attempting to read) because I can not imagine not reading even for a few minutes a day.
Below I have posted my honest thoughts on five books I have read recently so enjoy your reading time and have a fabulous summer.
See you soon! xo
So what would you do if your husband slept with another woman?
I was part of the Shari Low blog tour. Shari so kindly wrote a piece about a true love and that what this story is about finding the true love and taking the leap of faith, growing old together and sharing the bad and the good as a unit.
Shari Low created a story full of wonderful characters that took me on a roll-coaster journey. I cried and laughed and bonded with Shauna, Colm, their daughter and their friends. The Story of our Life is complicated, wonderfully written, raw and honest. It was so easy to get tangled in the web of Shauna and Colm's family- past and present, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this vivid page-turner.

Landon Holder is exactly the kind of man Livy Adams should stay far away from.
Aven Ellis is the queen of pure contemporary romance. I've read the previous Chicago on Ice Book where I got a sneak peek at the two main characters in this book, Livi and Landon.
I loved the way Livi and Landon got to know each other through the game Trivia first before they found their true identities. Both Livi and Landon have fantastic chemistry; they are so comfortable with each other but both struggle with love on a deeper level. Her previous boyfriend hurt Livi, and she is not sure if she could handle another heart-crushing moment. Landon had a troubled childhood, and now he has his person in this professional circles but deep down Landon wants to find someone who will be there for him through thick and thin.
I adored Livi and Landon's dates and their journey to happiness.
I was intrigued to read about Aubrey and Beckett's life after their own happy ever after.
The Trivial Pursuits is a wonderfully written story that is oozing with romance, sparkle, love and friendships.

As a heatwave rolls into Little Perran, so does love.
A Village Romance is the second book in The Little Perran series. I haven't read the first book, but it didn't bother me at all. I adored the charming setting, wonderfully spirited characters and the feelgood effect of this book.
There is plenty to keep us readers thoroughly entertained from the forgotten rock star Billy Baxter who is having a hard time settling into a quiet rural life to the rather curious Ashley Wilmot-Fox who suffered an accident that renders him disabled.
I love the comedic style, the sizzling chemistry and the fast flowing storyline that had me racing through the pages faster than you can say hot summer!

A Summer Romance is the sequel to A Village Romance and is the third book in the Little Perran series by Lynda Renham writing as Amy Perfect.
So as the previous book had us hung on a critical cliffhanger, I could not wait to dive into the third book in this series.
Again there is plenty to keep us entertained when we once again delved into the Little Perran's dramas, life and love.
The village folks are preparing for the traditional summer village fete where the biggest are the best! This book is a perfect companion for your summer holiday! The fast flowing storyline is peppered with humour, gossip, sex and scandal. You can go wrong with the Little Perran series - charming village and fabulous characters!

A huge thank you to Andrew Cook ( ) for ARC of A Village Romance and A Summer Romance in exchange for a fair review.
Nightingale Books, nestled on the high street in the idyllic Cotswold town of Peasebrook, is a dream come true for booklovers.
No wonder this book is The Top 10 Bestseller. I absolutely loved every minute in the company of this wonderfully written story.
I love discovering a new to me authors. Veronica Henry has written a lot of books, but this one is the first book I had the privilege to read and review.
There is so much to love about this sumptuously emotional and idyllic read. Emilia has become the new owner of The Nightingale Books after her beloved father passed away. When Emilia returns to the village of Peasebroke, she is on a bringing of depression, but her father's bookshop and the community residents welcome her with open arms. Emilia discovers one hidden secret and the power of the written world and maybe even find the love of her life in the bookshop. Who doesn't love a book about a bookshop! I, for once couldn't put this story down.
Veronica Henry manages to bring out the very essence of her characters that resonated with me and sizzled with passions and driving need to achieve happiness in their life either through their work or on the love front or both at the same time.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting Thomasina, Bea, Jackson, Sarah and her family. All those lovable characters enveloped me with warmth and sparkle, and I must say this is one of my top reads this year.
Now I have to catch up on the author's previous books.
