Bridget Jones's Baby by Helen Fielding
My honest thoughts on this book:
I have read all Helen Fielding's books. I really enjoy her comic portraying of a heroine, and as we all know Bridget is a literary phenomenon! Everybody loves/hates Bridget Jones and her ever so hilarious diaries.
My favourite book in the diaries series is without a doubt Mad About A Boy. One of my favourite books of all times! There is the shocking discovery about Bridget's life after happy ever after with Mr Darcy, and there are the raw emotions of battling through life and motherhood, and as always there is the comic scenes and witty dialogues.
I have read Helen's columns six or so years previously about Bridget Jones's baby and so it was very nice to have it all tight down in a single volume, and of course, it was fabulous to catch up with Bridget and her crews of singletons and smug married friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading who Bridget dealt with her rather joyous situations and what it must have been to discover that her offspring has potentially two fathers - Mark Darcy/Daniel Cleaver.
And there goes the never-ending squabbling and verbal fighting between who is the better man for our Bridget. Bridget takes everything that comes her way in a very confident manner, and the end of this book is very emotional and beautifully written.
Bridget Jones's Baby is a very entertaining. Slightly touching and very hilarious book and I highly recommend you jump on the Jones' waggon of fun and let her take you on a fabulous ride trough her life one more time.
Happy Reading. xo
