Status Update: I’m going offline for a while… Wish me luck! xx
Lifestyle journalist and thirty-something singleton Melissa hashtags, insta's and snapchats her supposedly fabulous life on every social media platform there is.
That is until she wakes up on her birthday, another year older and still alone, wondering if for all her internet dates, love really can be found online? The challenge: go technology free for a whole month!
Forced to confront the reality of her life without its perfect filters, Melissa knows she needs to make some changes. But when she bumps into not one, but two gorgeous men, without the use of an app, she believes there could be hope for love offline.
If only there was a way to choose the right guy for her…
My honest thoughts on this book...
A fabulous debut novel! It is sparkly, eye opening and a thought-provoking romantic story that have me hooked right from the first chapter!
I loved Melissa, the leading lady of The Secret to Falling in Love. She has a fabulous job, lovely and supporting friends and family but the only thing missing in her life is The One she would like to share her life story with.
After the success of her article in North Style magazine, Melissa goes offline and on a search for the perfect life with or without the need of an electronic update!
There is certainly plenty to keep us entertain and as we all sometimes wonder is it really better to keep tabs on absolutely everything involving our social life or are we missing the good old-fashioned catch-up?
When Melissa gives up her e-life, she bumps into two men. Both, Joseph and Scott have different approaches how to spend time with Mel. But will Melissa go for the mind-blowing dates or will she choose something that is less showy and more heartwarming ones?
After navigating the tricky waters of communication, Melissa realises that we all have to sometimes move on with the time and adapt to whatever changes are facing us and that may be the secret to falling in love with The right One.
Happy Reading! xo
