One Moment in Sunrise by Karen Aldous
Today, it is my stop on the One Moment in Sunrise blog tour! I have a review of Karen Aldous fabulous new book. Enjoy!
My honest thoughts on this book:
I have read so many fantastic reviews and praises for Karen Aldous books so naturally I was keen to sample the author's latest bookish installment, One Moment in Sunrise! I have Karen's previous three novels stored on my Kindle but unfortunately haven't had the time to read them yet so when I found out that Karen is releasing another book his year and this novel just happens to go on a fantastic blog tour I jumped at the chance to read it.
I quickly found out that Karen has a very compelling style of writing peppered with a healthy dose of drama and mixed with engaging characters that keep you turning page after page.
One Moment in Sunrise is a story of one woman's journey to self-discovery. It is very compelling and utterly thrilling. I instantly bonded with Evie and could not stop rooting for her to find herself happy again. Throughout the story, I really hoped Evie will get herself rid of her awful partner Seb, who keeps letting her down and has such a controlling grip on her life and starts to carve her happy future with her delightful little daughter Charlotte. Charlotte was such a joy to read about; I loved the strong connection Evie and Charlotte shared.
Because of Seb, Evie founds herself full of frustrations, restricted from living her life to the full so when Ben, a film director enters the scene I could clearly see Evie's life taking a different, more satisfy and happy directions,
I very much enjoyed the rest of the supporting characters in this story too. Cally. Evie's sister and Suzanne's, her neighbour, were a very welcoming addition to the storyline as well as that I found the snippets of French history laced throughout the book absorbing and beautifully written.
One Moment in Sunrise was everything I expected to be, fascinating, heartwarming, engaging, romantic and utterly compelling- 5 Sparkly Words from me! Not the last book I will be reading by this fantastic author.
A huge thank you to Neverland Blog Tours for letting me be a part of this tour and Carina UK for accepting my request to review in exchange for an honest review.
