After witnessing the fallout of her parent’s divorce, love has never been a priority for garden designer Frankie Cole. The only man in her life is her friend Matt–but that’s strictly platonic. If only she found it easier to ignore the way he makes her heart race…
Matt Walker has loved Frankie for years but, has always played it cool. Until he uncovers new depths to the girl he’s known forever, and doesn’t want to wait a moment longer.Matt knows Frankie has secrets and has buried them deep, but can he persuade her to kiss him under the Manhattan sunset?
My honest thoughts on this book:
There are three words that came to mind when I was reading this book: HOT, HOT,HOT! I am excited to have discovered another fabulous author! Sarah Morgan has such an appealing writing style that is peppered with delightful characters, sizzling scenes and amazingly romantic setting!
The Sunset in Central Park is the second book in the From Manhattan with Love series. I've not read the first book (yet), but I easily slipped into the storyline and very quickly got to know the group of characters from the first instalment (Sleepless in Manhattan). Although I would probably recommend starting from the beginning as you can enjoy the reading process of this series even more!
I adore Frankie Cole story. On the outside, Frankie seems cool and together but inside she is struggling with lots of insecurities and hurts from the separation of her parents. Luckily Frankie has got an amazing group of lovely friends who stick with her through thick and thin.
Frankie loves her new job, a business she set up with her two BFF, Paige and Eva. The business side is going from strength to strength, but Frankie is having a hard time coping with the wedding part of their business.
So when her dear and very hunky friend Matt asks for a helping hand in building a roof terrace garden Frankie agrees to give it a go, but there is more than just digging in the dirt and planting a beautiful flower here and there. Matt has got his motives when it comes to Frankie. Matt is determined to show Frankie what is she missing when it comes to love life.
Frankie and Matt cranked up the heat in this book. The sparkles are flying everywhere, and their instant chemistry is hard to ignore. I couldn't peel my eyes off the pages when it came to finding out the outcome of their story.
Aside from Frankie and Matt I also fell in love with the rest of this tight- knit group. Paige, Eva and Jake are the dream friends. Trustworthy, reliable and so supportive of one another. It was such a pleasure to get to know them all in this book, and I can't wait to catch up with them all in the next instalment.
Sarah Morgan created a book with a vibrant storyline that sizzles with emotions, passion and driving need to love and be loved all wrapped up in a glamours setting. A pure romantic escapism.
