Security will be tighter than a bodycon dress, but how hard can it be? Cue disappearing brides, demanding socialites – and a jealous office enemy who will do anything to bring her down...

Why should this book wriggle it's way up your TBR?
The theme of this book is atrociously funny and incredibly extravagant. Page and page I found myself hysterically laughing at the incredulity of the situations that Laura Lake find herself in either it is the art exhibition in an ex-morgue or the really out of this world weddings she attendance after landing herself a job in the rather notorious Society magazine ( where everything is possible!).
After leaving the beautiful Paris where Laura lived with her wonderful and slightly crazy grandmother Mimi our heroine is making her way to London. Laura loves the vibrant London for more than one reason. There are lots of memories, and most of them feature her famous father and investigative extraordinaire journalist. Laura wants to be just like her dad. Then an accidental meeting with Harry Scott ( the only other link to her father) Laura is catapulted into the world where she wears the most stylish clothes ( because she basically lives in a fashion closet) meets incredibly wild people and attendance weddings that make her head spin. And then there is the small matter of her school bully making a transition to a work bully!
Laura Lake is a very resourceful woman who won't give up her dreams of being a serious journalist, so she will even go the full Bond 007 to get the scoop of the year.
I adored all the crazy characters in this book but aside Laura I found myself getting really fond of Lulu and Vlad.
Wendy Holden imagination knows no bounds! Laura Lakes Hipster Wedding is full of smart words that are mix and mash together to create a very entertaining and highly likeable book.
